The Loyola men's lacrosse team defeated Denver, 10-9, in the NCAA Quarterfinals on Saturday, May 19 in Annapolis, Md.
2012 (Graduate Student): Returned from injury and had one of the best single-season performances in program history, particularly in postseason play, helping the Greyhounds win the school's first-ever NCAA Championship at the Division I level... Finished the year with a program single-season record 54 goals... Named the Most Oustanding Player of the NCAA Championships after setting a tournament record with 17 goals in the four games... Named to the USILA All-American Honorable Mention and All-ECAC Second Team... Was named Loyola's winner of the John Mohler Award as the athletic department's top senior student-athlete... Scored four goals in the NCAA title game against Maryland and five in both the Semifinal and Quarterfinal contests against Notre Dame and Denver... Tallied three in the First Round contest against Canisius... Recorded seven hat tricks during the regular-season... Scored four in the season-opener against Delaware and then tallied five against both Bellarmine and Georgetown... Had three-goal outings against Duke, UMBC, Ohio State and Hobart.
2011 (Senior): Played two games before missing the rest of the season with a torn ACL... Received medical redshirt... Preseason All-ECAC.
2010 (Junior): Earned All-ECAC First Team honors after starting all 14 games on the first midfield and finished the year third on the team with 20 goals... Also had five assists for 25 total points, all career-high marks... Picked up 13 ground balls... Scored at least one point in 13 of 14 games and each of the first 12... Had back-to-back three-goal games at Bellarmine (3/3) and against Notre Dame (3/6)... Also scored three at Fairfield (4/10)... Had six multi-goal games and seven multi-point affairs.
2009 (Sophomore): Finished fifth on the team with 11 goals while adding an assist for 12 points... Appeared in all 14 games for the Greyhounds, making starts against Syracuse (3/28), Rutgers (4/4), Georgetown (4/11) and Johns Hopkins (5/2)... Led the team with five man-up goals... Began season with a bang by scoring one goal in four of Loyola's first five... After being held scoreless the next three, he scored a goal in five of Loyola's last six... Tallied a hat-trick in the win over Hobart (4/25) to set a career-high... His third came 1:31 into the fourth period on an unassisted marker... Scored the game-winning goal while adding an assist against Fairfield (4/18) for a two-point game... Finished fifth on the team with 21 shots on goal.
2008 (Freshman): Played in all 14 games at attack... Member of Greyhounds extra-man unit... Scored four goals and had three assists for the season... Tied for the team lead with three EMO goals... Collected two points in the regular-season matchup against Duke (3/8) and versus Rutgers (4/5).
Before Loyola: Was a three-year letterwinner at Severna Park High School... Served as team captain his senior year... Named a high school All-American... Awarded the C. Markland Kelly 3A-4A Maryland State Player of the Year... Played for 2006 Free State Team... Earned All-Metro First Team honors from the Washignton Post and the Baltimore Sun... Selected All-County after his junior and senior seasons... Led Severna Park to two Maryland state high school championships... was Severna Park's leading scorer in both 2006 and 2007.
