The men's lacrosse team captured its first National Championship, beating Maryland, 9-3, on Monday, May 28.
2012 (Sophomore): Member of Loyola's ROPE unit that was instrumental in transition and settled defense... Caused 15 turnovers, picked up 23 ground balls, scored a goal and had three assists in 19 games... Had a ground ball in the NCAA Championship Game against Maryland (5/28)... Picked up three ground balls, caused two turnovers and had an assist in the NCAA First Round game versus Canisius (5/12)... Scored his first collegiate goal against Johns Hopkins (4/28), pulling the Greyhounds to within 9-8 in the late going... Had an assist, caused two turnovers and picked up two ground balls against Ohio State (3/31)... Picked up three ground balls against Duke (3/10)... Had two caused turnovers and three ground balls at Michigan (3/7)... Tallied an assist at Bellarmine (3/3)... Picked up a career-high four ground balls versus Towson (2/25).
2011 (Freshman): Played in all of Loyola's 13 games as a freshman... Totaled 11 ground balls while causing six turnovers... Had season-high two ground balls twice against Denver (3/16) and Georgetown (4/17)... Caused two turnovers against Denver (3/16) and Mount St. Mary's (3/26).
Before Loyola:Earned four letters in lacrosse at Morristown (N.J.) High School... Received NJILCA All-Klank Conference First Team as a sophomore, junior and senior and was the conference player of the year as a senior... Tabbed All-State Group III and a High School All-American... Helping the Colonials win the conference title as a sophomore and junior, advancing to the state tournament each season... Played in the New Jersey Senior All-Star game, and was on the same team as fellow Loyola player Kevin Ryan... Scored three goals, including the game-winner with just over a minute left in regulation... Named to the Garden State Lacrosse All-Star Team and the Top 205 Top 40 Team, as well as being named to the honor roll and high honor roll during his high school career.
