Loyola men's lacrosse defeated Fairfield, 14-7, to win the ECAC Championship.
2013 (Junior): Played in 14 games on the Greyhound's second midfield and extra-man units... Finished second on the team with five extra-man goals... Scored six goals in all and added three assists for nine points... Recorded the first multi-goal and multi-point game of his career against Towson (2/20), delivering two man-up goals and an assist versus the Tigers... Scored another against Maryland three days later (2/23)... Logged an assist against Michigan (3/23) and had a man-up goal versus Fairfield (4/6)... Tallied another goal at Hobart (4/20) and then scored a goal and had an assist at Johns Hopkins (4/27).
2012 (Sophomore): Saw his playing time increase considerably as the season wore on, eventually finishing the season on the extra-man unit... Played in 17 games overall, making his collegiate debut against Delaware (2/18)... Scored two goals during the year, both extra-man tallies and both against Denver... Scored in the ECAC Semifinals at Denver (5/2) and then added one in the NCAA Quarterfinal against the Pioneers (5/19).
2011 (Freshman): Did not appear in a game.
Before Loyola:Earned 10 letters - four in basketball and three each in lacrosse and football - at Mountain Lakes (N.J.) High School... Named the 2010 Player of the year by the Morris County Daily Record... Also earned 2010 Conference Player of the Year honors and was named All-American, All-State, All-County and All-Conference after scoring 53 goals, assisting on 18 and picking up 33 ground balls as a senior... Team captain... Accomplished football and basketball player, as well, at Mountain Lakes... Helped the Lakers win the 2010 New Jersey Group I North I State Championship... Earned All-State Group I First Team, All-Country First Team and All-Conference First Team honors as a running back... Earned All-Conference First Team laurels as a point guard for the Mountain Lakes basketball team... Attended the Nike Blue Chip camps as a rising junior and rising senior... Honor Roll student.
Personal: Kevin Conway Ryan... Son of Tom and Jean Ryan... Born in Morristown, New Jersey... Has two older siblings, Chris and Sally, and a younger sister, Megan... Chris is a 2009 graduate of Villanova where he played lacrosse, and Sally plays lacrosse and field hockey at Middlebury... Ties to Loyola run deep as two of his cousins, Sean '92 and Kevin '99 Quinn were on Loyola teams that NCAA Final Fours... Both were Greyhounds' captains, and Sean earned All-America honors.
