2010 (Junior): Started all 14 games in goal and earned ECAC Goalkeeper of the Year honors and All-ECAC First Team laurels... Earned ECAC Defensive Player of the Week honors three times... Finished season ranked eighth in goals against average (8.24) in NCAA Division I... Had a .544 saves percentage, making 123 stops during the year... Helped Loyola's defense rank third nationally in scoring defense... Made two point-blank saves in overtime of the season-opener to help Loyola beat Navy (2/20)... Tallied 12 saves at Bellarmine (3/3) and 10 versus Notre Dame (3/6)... Made a season-high 15 saves and allowed just six goals in a 7-6 win over Towson (3/27)... That game was the start of four consecutive where Hagelin made 13 or more saves... Had 14 versus Ohio State (4/3), 13 at Fairfield (4/10) and 14 against Georgetown (4/17).
2009 (Sophomore): Played in all 14 games for Loyola at goalkeeper, making 12 starts... Played to a 7.93 against average, the third-best in the ECAC... Finished 11th in NCAA Division I in goals against average... Earned seven wins in the cage while playing nearly 700 minutes... Made 10 or more saves on five occasions... Opened the season with 15 saves against Notre Dame (2/14), a number that would be his season-high... Followed that with a 13-save performance in the home-opener versus Towson (2/21)... Made two saves in the final seconds to preserve an 8-7 win over the Georgetown (4/11)... The final save came with just four seconds left... Tabbed the ECAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week on April 27 after saving eight shots against just five goals allowed versus Hobart (4/25).
2008 (Freshman): Started all 14 games in goal for the Greyhounds... Earned ECAC Co-Rookie of the Year honors, as well as All-ECAC Second Team recognition... Garnered three ECAC Defensive Player of the Week awards... Twice named ECAC Rookie of the Week... Named to ECAC weekly honor roll four times... Finished season with ECAC record 5.57 goals against average in conference play... Collected 10 or more saves in nine games... Had 14 saves and one goal allowed vs. UMass (3/22)... Stopped 13 shots in his collegiate debut against Notre Dame (2/16)... Had 14 saves in win over then-No. 4 Georgetown (4/12)... Posted a season-high 16 saves at Hobart (4/26).
Before Loyola: Was a four-year letterwinner at Boys' Latin... Team captain during senior year... Named a high school All-American... Selected to the All-MIAA First Team... Also earned a selection to U-19 US National Team tryouts... Led team to conference title in 2006... Also led club team to U-19 championship... Named MVP of club championship game.
Personal: Majoring in communications at Loyola... Son of Ralph and Sandy Hagelin... Has four siblings, Erica, Josh, Adam and Sarah... Brother, Adam, played lacrosse at Towson... The two faced each other during Jake's freshman season.
