The Country Club of Maryland
Loyola University Maryland's Home Course

The Loyola golf team makes its home at the Country Club of Maryland in Towson, just minutes away from the Loyola campus.

Throughout the years, the private, member-owned club has played host to a number of Maryland State Amateur Championships. The course has recently undergone a multimillion dollar renovation on both its facilities and the golf course, which add to the appeal of an outstanding setup.

Designed in 1925 by renowned golf course architect Herb Strong, the Country Club of Maryland is a challenging 6,300-yard, par-70 course known for its tight, tree-lined fairways and extremely difficult greens. Strong designed the course in the classic image of some of his other famous works, including Saucon Valley Country Club and The Canterbury Club. Players must execute pinpoint accuracy to be successful on this short, tricky course.

The Loyola team golf team not only has access to this fabulous facility, it also has practice facility privileges at Pine Ridge in Timonioum. The College will also partner with Caves Valley Golf Club for the 2005 NCAA Men's Golf Championships.
