Wall Named Patriot League Golfer Of The Month For September
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -
Loyola University Maryland senior golfer Ethan Wall has been named the Patriot League Male Golfer of the Month for September, as announced by the League office Wednesday.
Wall played six rounds in two events through September, finishing the month with a stroke average of 70.5. The native of Brielle, New Jersey, helped the Greyhounds to a runner-up finish at the season-opening Doc Gimmler, finishing 12th with a 1-over 211. He then recorded a top-10 finish at the Northern Intercollegiate, turning in a 4-under 212 to finish tied for eighth.
Throughout the month, Wall shot four rounds at par-or-better, including two under par and a season-best 6-under 66 in the opening round of the Northern Intercollegiate at Rich Harvest Farms, the notoriously unfriendly final site of the 2017 NCAA Championships. Through the two tournaments, he recorded 23 birdies and one eagle.
This marks Wall’s first career monthly award from the Patriot League.
The Greyhounds will be back in action on Monday for West Virginia’s The Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational at Pete Dye Golf Club.
