BALTIMORE, MD - Freshman Will Shriver fired a second-round score of 73, capturing the individual title at the John MacDonald Golf Classic and leading the Greyhounds to a first-place finish at Galloway National Golf Club.

Shriver, who won his first-ever collegiate event to open the fall, closed the 2003 fall season with another medallist performance. His 149 tied him with Joe McClister of Delaware, but on the first playoff hole, Shriver nailed a birdie put to seal the championship.

T. J. Shuart scored round of 75 and 78 to place fifth overall. Shuart's round of 78 on Tuesday, matched each of Tommy Villani's two rounds. Villani placed in a tie for 10th overall with a two-day score of 156.

Jeff O'Brien closed the fall one stroke back of Villani, shooting a 75 on Tuesday after posting an 82 on Monday. Scott Zielinski wrapped up the team title for Loyola with solid rounds of 80 and 82.

After two second-place showings and a third-place finish, Loyola closes the fall with a team title. The Greyhounds shot rounds of 309 and 304 to finish nine strokes better than Delaware.

"This was a perfect way to end the fall season," says Loyola Head Coach Tom Beidleman. "We played well on a good course against a very tough field. I'm happy with this win."
