OLEAN, NY - Loyola's golf team shot a 307 on Sunday, locking itself in a tie for ninth-place amidst a tightly packed field of 14 on Day One of the St. Bonaventure-Keenan Invitational.

The Greyhounds' score of 307 places them in a tie with Niagara, two shots behind eighth-place Rider, and three shots behind Drexel, Siena, Bucknell, St. Francis (PA), and Seton Hall, who are all tied for third. Duquesne is in the tournament lead after shooting a 294 while St. Bonnie's is in second-place at 297.

Cornell (308), Robert Morris (311), Canisius (313), and Colgate (317) accounted for the final four slots after Day One.

Loyola freshman Will Shriver finished Round One tied for fourth overall after firing an even-par 70, the third best score of the day. Greyhound Scott Zielinski shot a 76 to place himself in a tie for 25th, T.J. Shuart carded a 77 to tie for 31st, Mike Carroll recorded an 84 to tie for 64th, and Tommy Villani posted an 85 to tie for 68th.

St. Francis' Eric Couture led the field after 18 holes as he notched a three-under 67, while Seton Hall's Scott Sanderson and St. Bonnie's Josh Anderson both had 68's to tie for second overall.
