Lemp Finishes Tied For Fourth At Raines Development Group Intercollegiate

FLORENCE, S.C. - Junior Brendan Lemp finished the third round of the season-opening 28th-annual Raines Development Group Intercollegiate at the Country Club of South Carolina Tuesday in a tie for fourth place out of 85 competitors. Lemp finished the two-day tournament with a three-round score of 5-under 211 after shooting a 3-over 75 today.
Sophomore Bart George joined Lemp in the top 15, finishing tied for 13th with an aggregate score of 2-under 214. George shot a 2-over 74 through the third round.
Freshman Jimmy Dengler also shot a 2-over 74 on his third trip through the course, finishing tied for 56 with an 8-over 224. Classmate Keegan Boone finished tied for 64th with an 11-over 227 after shooting a 4-over 76 through the final round.
Junior Cameron Liebert finished tied for 71st with a 13-over 229. He shaved four strokes off of his second-round score, carding a 2-over 74 today.
As a team, the Greyhounds finished eighth out of the 16 teams participating in the tournament. Gardner Webb won the team title with a 14-under 850, while Georgia College was second at 10-under 854 and Old Dominion was third at 9-under 855. Loyola finished with a team score of 8-over 864.
Loyola will be back in action next Monday when it heads to Bremerton, Wash., for the two-day Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational.
