First-Round Play Suspended At Rutherford Invitational

April 8, 2011

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Rain and lightning halted play early in the first round of the Rutherford Intercollegiate, hosted by Penn State University, on Friday morning.

Loyola University Maryland and the rest of the field will resume the opening 18 on Saturday at 8 o'clock and then play the second round in the afternoon.

No Greyhound golfer made it more than five holes before play was called for the day.

Brendan Lemp was 2-over par through five holes, and Jason Burton was even through four, as the two Loyola players who made it the furthest.

Will Handley and Jonathan Ross played to 1-over par through three holes, and Patrick McCormick had the same score after two holes.
