Golfers Tied For 14th After Shortened Day Of C&F Intercollegiate

KINGSMILL, Va. - The Loyola University Maryland golf team sits in a tie for 14th place after a shortened first day of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort-River Course. Play was suspended early due to inclement weather at the course.
Freshman Keegan Boone and junior Jonathon Ross were both able to complete the first round today, with Boone finishing at 4-over 74 and in a 25-way tie for 70th. Ross is tied with seven others for 112th place with a 6-over 76.
Eastern Michigan’s Casey Olsen and Notre Dame’s Cory Sciupider lead the competition after the first round with a 3-under 67.
Among the teams that have finished the first round of play, No. 27 Tennessee is atop the leader board with a 5-over 285. James Madison led the 32 teams competing through the first nine holes with a 3-over 283.
Play will resume Monday morning at 7:45 a.m.
