Greyhounds Take 11th-Place At William & Mary Golf Invitational

Williamsburg, Va. - Freshman Will Shriver shot a team-best 73 in his second and final round of the William & Mary Invitational and Loyola took 11th-place in the 22-team tournament at Kingsmill Golf Resort in Williamsburg, Va.
Shriver finished the tournament in 16th-place overall with a two-day total of 150. T. J. Shuart tied for 20th with a 151 and Jeff O'Brien finished one stroke back with a 152. Scott Zielinski, who shot a 78 in Round Two, ended the event with a 163 and Tommy Villani rounded out the Greyhound scoring with a 172.
Georgetown won the event, firing a team-low 291 on Day Two. The Hoyas won with a score of 589 while Richmond placed second (592) and Old Dominion (602) took third. The Greyhounds, with a 301 on Tuesday, moved up from 13th-place with a two-day total of 616.
Loyola will be back in action this weekend, competing at the Drew Upton Memorial at the Great Hope Golf Club in Salisbury, Md.
