Edison, N.J. - Loyola College sophomore forward Isaac Reid has been selected as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Week for games played between December 15-21 it was announced today by the conference office. The honor is the first of his career for Reid.

A 6-5 forward from Angelton, Texas, Reid came off the bench to post the first double-double of his career in Sunday's win at UC Davis, scoring 17 points with a career-high 14 rebounds. He made 10 of his 12 free-throw attempts and added a block and a steal. The 10 free throws matched the 33rd best single-game performance in school history.

The team's leading rebounder at 7.1 boards per outing, Reid has scored 35 points while grabbing 20 rebounds, shooting 42.1 percent (8-19) from the floor, 50.0 percent (3-6) from three-point range and 88.9 percent (16-18) from the free-throw line in the last two outings, both Greyhounds wins. Since coming out of the starting lineup four games ago, he is averaging 11.8 points and 8.0 rebounds off the bench.

Loyola's 95-89 win Sunday was its first on the home floor of a team that resides in the Pacific time zone in nine tries. It was only Loyola's second win ever on the West Coast in 13 games, the other being a neutral-site victory over Holy Cross in December 1995. The 95 points scored were the most for the Greyhounds since February 2007 and the most in a road game since January 2006.

Reid shared the award with Manhattan's Darryl Crawford. The MAAC Rookie of the Week was Scott Machado of Iona. Thus far this season, the conference office has recognized junior guard Brett Harvey as its Player of the Week (November 17) and freshman forward Anthony Winbush as its Rookie of the Week (December 8).

The Greyhounds (4-7) carry a modest two-game winning streak into the Christmas holidays. They will put that winning streak on the line on December 29 when they visit North Carolina State. That is the first of two games being played against ACC foes that week as Duke will be the opponent two days later on New Year's Eve day in a game that will be carried live on ESPN2 starting at 4 o'clock.
