Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's basketball team returns to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference competition on Monday night when St. Peter's visits Reitz Arena. The Greyhounds, home for only the second time in six games this season, look for their first conference win of the year. Tip is at 7:35 p.m.

Fresh off a second-half rally that fell just short, Loyola enters with a 0-5 overall record. The Greyhounds cut a 12-point halftime deficit to three late against Duquesne on Saturday, but the Dukes were able to hold on and get the win. Freshman Shane James, who matched a career-high with 16 points in the loss, scored 14 of his points in the second half to ignite the Loyola rally.

St. Peter's comes in with a 2-1 overall record and has won the last two meetings with Loyola. Sophomore Keydren Clark leads the Peacock attack after leading the MAAC in scoring last season. And while St. Peter's is yet to play a conference game, Loyola is 0-1 after falling to Iona in New Rochelle last Tuesday.

Both teams are led by youth with sophomore Charlie Bell leading the Greyhounds in scoring (16 ppg), rebounding (5.8 rpg) and steals (7). James, who has started at point all season, is second on the team in scoring with an average of nine points per game. The Peacocks' 1-2 punch is Clark and freshman Shane Nichols, who was name the MAAC Rookie of the Week after scoring 17 points against St. Francis.

Tonight's game can be head live on both WNST AM 1570 and Online at www.LoyolaGreyhounds.com.
