Men's Basketball Receives NLI From Justin Drummond
Nov. 11, 2009
Baltimore, Md. - Loyola Greyhounds men's basketball coach Jimmy Patsos received welcome news on the eve of the start of the 2009-2010 season when the paperwork for 6-4 guard Justin Drummond landed on his desk, officially making him a Greyhound in the Fall of 2010.
"We're very excited to have Justin joining our program," Patsos said on the signing. "[Assistant Coach] G.G. [Smith] did a great job staying with Justin and he should be an impact player for us with his size and ability to shoot the basketball. We were able to get Justin over some very good schools and he will be a welcome addition to our program."
Drummond, who will play this season at Riverdale Baptist, spent last year at Mountain State Academy in West Virginia. He opted to return closer to his DC area home for his senior season. He has been quoted as planning on majoring in pre-Law while attending Loyola.
The Greyhounds are focused on preparing for this season which opens Friday night with a home contest against the University of Vermont at 7 o'clock.
