Baltimore, Md. - Sophomore guard J'hared Hall has been named to the Global Sports Academy Team USA All-Star squad which will play teams representing five different nations during a four-country swing through Europe beginning August 9.

Hall is joined on the 15-person squad by Maryland guard and Baltimore native Sean Mosley, a pair of Villanova Wildcats who participated in the 2009 Final Four in Corey Stokes and Antonio Pena and Purdue guard Ryne Smith.

"This is an exciting opportunity for J'hared," sixth-year head coach Jimmy Patsos said of his sophomore guard's selection. "Not will he get to play a high level of basketball with and against some quality players, he will have the chance to be introduced to a foreign country and be exposed to a unique and different culture."

The group departs from the United States on August 9 and arrives in Brussels. The next two days include contests against Belgian teams before heading to France on August 12. After three games in three days in France against French teams and one from Luxembourg, the third country is reached with a game in Germany. August 16 is a scheduled travel day to the Netherlands with the final contest that night. The travel party departs for its return to the United States from Amsterdam on August 17.

Among the cities being visited and explored are Brussels, Antwerp and Nivelles, Belgium; Denain and Longwy, France; Essen, Germany; and Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Hall started the final two games of the 2008-2009 season and averaged 2.5 points in 30 appearances as a freshman. He and his Greyhounds teammates open the 2009-2010 season on Friday, November 13 when they host Vermont in the season opener in Reitz Arena.
