Patsos Joins In Effort To Raise $250k For Cancer Research

KOHLER, Wisc. - Loyola University Maryland head men's basketball coach Jimmy Patsos joined coaches from around the nation to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research at the Coaches VS. Cancer golf outing.

The event raised more than $250,000 for the American Cancer Society as participants played the first day at Blackwolf Run, home of the 2012 U.S. Women's Open, and the second day at Whistling Straits, home of the 2004, 2010 and 2015 PGA Championships and the 2020 Ryder Cup.

"This was my eighth year participating in the event, and it is an honor every year to be a part of something that raises money for the American Cancer Society," Patsos said. "This year was great to get to know many of the people in the Midwest where I was reminded that Green Bay Packers fans are looking forward to seeing the Baltimore Ravens in the Super Bowl!"
