Loyola College Will Not Renew Scott Hicks' Contract
March 8, 2004
Baltimore, Md. - Loyola College has announced that it will not renew Head Coach Scott Hicks' contract for next season. Hicks, the 19th head coach in Loyola basketball history, has led the Greyhound for the past four seasons.
"Scott Hicks and his staff have handled themselves with great dignity and character over the past four seasons at Loyola," says Athletic Director Joe Boylan. "Lack of success on the court, however, has led to the College's decision not to renew his contract."
Hicks signed a four-year deal to coach at Loyola in 2000 after coaching at the University at Albany for three years. Prior to that, Hicks coached at his alma mater, Le Moyne College, for five seasons.
Loyola will begin an immediate search for the position of head men's basketball coach.
