West Virginia Controls Boards, Drops Men's Basketball In Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University outrebounded Loyola University Maryland, 62-22, and the Mountaineers scored 42 second-chance points to defeat the visiting Greyhounds, 96-47, on Monday night at the WVU Coliseum.
Loyola (4-2) did not have an offensive rebound in the first half, as West Virginia (6-2) broke out to a 47-20 halftime advantage.
Five Mountaineers scored in double-figures, led by Remi Dibo who had 19 off the bench, hitting 5-of-7 from 3-point range. As a team, the Mountaineers shot 59.1 percent from behind the arc, making 13-of-22.
All five West Virginia starters had seven or more rebounds, led by Juwan Staten's 10. Nathan Adrian grabbed nine, and Kevin Noreen had eight.
The Greyhounds return to Reitz Arena for the first time since November 16, for a 7:30 p.m. game on Wednesday, December 4, against Catholic University of America.
