Men's Hoops Finishes Canadian Tour 5-0 With Win Over Concordia

MONTREAL, Quebec - Cam Gregory scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds, both team-highs, and Loyola University Maryland men's basketball finished its 2014 Canadian Tour with a 5-0 record by defeating host Concordia University, 72-49, on Wednesday night.
The Greyhounds will return to Baltimore on Thursday after beating the Stingers and fellow Canadian Interuniversity Sports teams Universite du Quebec a Montreal, Laval University and McGill Univeristy and club team Brookwood Elite on its seven-day tour north of the border.
Gregory made 4-of-7 shots from the field, punctuated by two powerful dunks, and was 6-of-6 from the free-throw line. Five of his rebounds came on the offensive glass as Loyola outrebounded the Stingers, 41-30.
Loyola held Concordia to 29.5 percent shooting from the field (18-of-61), forcing 23 Stingers turnovers along the way.
The Greyhounds jumped out to a 21-4 lead after the first quarter, and while Concordia drew to within 32-25 at halftime, Loyola outscored the Stingers, 28-7, in the third quarter to lead by 28, 60-32, after 30 minutes of action.
