2016-2017 (Sophomore): Played in 21 games and made two starts at guard for the Greyhounds… Missed 11 of the final 13 games due to injury… Made the first start of his collegiate career against Mount St. Mary’s (12/3)... Scored a career-best 10 points, making 2-of-4 threes, to go with two assists and two steals without a turnover against Fairfield (11/23)... Had career-highs of six points and four rebounds at Notre Dame (11/18).
2015-2016 (Freshman): Played in 26 games during his first year at Loyola… Avergaed 1/1 points and 0.8 assists… Had a season-best five assists at Boston University (1/18)... Knocked down a 3-pointer and had a team-high three assists at Navy (1/13)... Had five points versus Army West Point (1/9)... Scored four points, had two rebounds and a blocked shot at Lafayette (1/2)... Had two steals and two assists at Northwestern (12/27)... Knocked down a three at Fairfield (12/22)... Scored his first collegiate points and had two assists, two steals and two boards at No. 4 Kansas (12/1)... Dished out four assists at Siena (11/28)... Had two assists at Saint Bonaventure (11/21)... Made his Loyola debut against Tennessee State (11/13).
Before Loyola: Graduated from Pine Ridge Secondary School in Pickering, Ontario... Attended Pine Ridge for his junior and senior years (2013-2015) after matriculating at Huntington (West Virginia) Prep from 2011-2013... Averaged 18.9 points, 9.0 assists and 3.6 rebounds per contest for Pine Ridge in 2014-2015, helping his team to the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSSA) Bronze Medal... The medal was the first for any Pine Ridge team... Played in the BioSteel All-Canadian Game... Member of the Canadian U-19 Basketball Team and competed for his country at the FIBA U-19 World Championships in Greece during the summer of 2015 where the squad finished fifth... Helped Canada to the silver medal, behind only the United States' team, at the FIBA Americas Tournament in Colorado Springs in 2014... Averaged 2.4 assists in the tournament... The Canadians won four games before falling to the host nation in the title game... It was the highest-ever finish for a Canadian age-group team... Averaged 15.3 points per game at Pine Ridge as a junior... Was on the United States' No. 1 ranked high school basketball team by Rivals at Huntington... Played AAU Basketball for Canada Elite and was in the top five in assists in the Under Armour Association of teams. Personal: Nevell Taijuan Provo... Born in North Preston, Nova Scotia, where his family still lives... Member of the National Honor Society from 2011-2013 and earned First Degree Honors at Pine Ridge where he had a 4.0 grade-point average...
