BRETT HARVEY has seen his role change during each of his previous three seasons and has been a steadying contributor during that time ... exclusively the starting point guard as a freshman, he alternated as a starter between the two guard slots as a sophomore ... last year he started at both guard spots for the first half of the season before being the first guard off the bench to support the two guard positions for the latter half ... regardless the role, he finished as the team's second-leading scorer with 12.4 points per game ... he also led all of NCAA Division I with a 91.0 percentage (142-156) from the free-throw line ... his efforts during the season drew the attention of Tennessee head coach Bruce Pearl, who served as the head coach of Maccabi USA, and Harvey quickly was added to the roster to compete as part of the gold-medal winning United States' entrant at the 18th Maccabiah Games held in Tel Aviv, Israel, in July ... it is his second summer foreign tour after playing on a college all-star team that played in The Netherlands and Belgium following his freshman season ... leads all active players with 96 games played in his three seasons and will shatter Loyola's all-time record of 119 during this season ... should also reach 1,000 career points, being the next player on target to do so with 896 points entering the season.

2008-2009
Opened the season with a bang, pouring in 34 points on six-of-12 three-point shooting to lead Loyola to a victory over Tennessee State on the third day of the season (Nov. 16) ... that tied the 22nd-best single-game scoring outing in school annals ... three weeks later, dropped 27 in a home game with Niagara, making all 13 of his attempts from the free-throw line to equal the second-best performance in school history ... did not miss a foul shot in December (31-31) as part of a stretch of 47 straight successful attempts ... would score 20 or more just twice in 2009, both coming in the first nine days ... made five of his seven attempts from three-point range en route to 21 points against Fairfield (Jan. 09) six days after scoring 22 points in a win at Canisius (Jan. 03) ... scored in double figures in each of the last five games of a six-game winning streak to end January ... included in that stretch was a 19-point effort at Marist (Jan. 25) where he drained a 35-footer at the buzzer to force overtime and ended making all 10 of his attempts from the charity stripe ... concluded the year scoring 16 points in the season finale against Canisius (Mar. 06) ... handed out seven assists in a win at UC Davis (Dec. 21) and grabbed seven rebounds at Fairfield (Feb. 01) ... his 131 career three-point field goals are fifth all-time at Loyola.

2007-2008
Came off the bench in the season opener at Towson (Nov. 9) and scored nine points in 27 minutes and was quickly returned to the starting lineup two days later in the home-opening win over Pennsylvania (Nov. 11), handing out nine assists while not taking a shot from the floor ... bounced back from a five-minute performance against American (Nov. 13) to register his first double-figure scoring effort of the season with 13 points against Vermont (Nov. 18), making all three of his three-point attempts and all four of his free throws ... three weeks later he would post his first career double-double with 10 rebounds and 11 assists in a home win over Manhattan (Dec. 9) ... he did not commit a turnover in 35 minutes of action in that contest and he earned a Third Star by CollegeHoops.net's Three Stars of the Day ... unselfishly moved to shooting guard to make room for Brian Rudolph in the Greyhounds' starting lineup after starting 44 of 46 games at point guard over two seasons ... responded with a still career-high 20 points in that win at Fairfield (Jan. 11), making seven-of-11 from the floor and four-of-seven from three-point range ... he would proceed to score in double figures in five of the next games, tallying nine with seven assists in the other ... he failed to reach double digits in his next three, but hit that number in each of the next five ... that included a 20-point effort at home against Niagara (Feb. 10) - all in the second half - that was followed by 19 points while playing 43 minutes in the overtime win at Siena (Feb. 16) ... his next outing at the Times Union Center had him tallying 16 points in the win over Fairfield in the MAAC Championship Quarterfinals ... only start he missed the rest of the season was on Senior Day against UC Davis (Feb. 23), yet he still scored 12 points ... finished the campaign leading the MAAC in assist-turnover ratio (2.80), a figure that ranked 11th in the NCAA ... he was also second in the conference in free-throw percentage (.830), placing him 75th nationally ... his assist total (3.73) was eighth in the league.

2006-2007
Became the first freshman to start his initial game in a Greyhounds uniform since Brad Farrell starting the 2004-05 opener at Virginia Tech in Coach Patsos' first game ... remained in the starting lineup thereafter, missing only the game at Canisius (Feb. 25) after suffering a head injury and missing the second half in the game prior at Niagara (Feb. 23) ... inserted back as a starter for the MAAC Championship games the following week ... after a slow start in the scoring column, he responded to his first game at Reitz Arena with 11 points in the win over Delaware (Nov. 29) ... in addition to three steals, he connected on his first three-point attempt in the game and went on to make three straight over two games ... didn't miss a shot from the floor against Mount St. Mary's (Dec. 2), making his only three-point attempt at six free throws for nine points ... made all three of his three-point attempts for nine points at Northwestern (Dec. 27) ... scored 13 points in the win at Siena (Jan. 9) and followed that by making six-of-seven from the field for 14 points with seven assists in the home win over Niagara (Jan. 12) ... his only basket of the game at Saint Peter's (Jan. 19) was a game-winning driving layup with 55 seconds remaining ... made three three-pointers for nine points to go alongside six assists in the Siena home victory (Jan. 29) ... scored 11 points in each of the regular-season meetings with Fairfield ... ended his home appearances with 19 points with six assists against Rider (Feb. 14).

Before Loyola
A three-year starter at Clarkstown North HS, he compiled more than 1,000 points in his career ... averaged 22 points and seven assists per game as a senior ... an all-New York State Section I selection following that season, he was also named the Rockland County Player of the Year and to the Tri-County all-star first team ... named to the county all-star team following both his senior and junior seasons ... poured in a career-high 44 points against Lincoln HS ... selected to play in the Wheelchair Classic in New York City.
