BRAD FARRELL returns to the program for his final season of eligibility after two seasons away ... he has bulked up his frame and will see time as a walk-on off the bench at forward after entering the program in 2004-2005 as a guard ... started his first college game as the point guard at Virginia Tech that freshman season and would make 36 starts over two seasons ... his tremendous athleticism is his biggest asset and allows him to make the move to a forward's position ... will be counted on for defense and rebounding while adding leadership from his experiences from a couple of seasons ago.
Played in all 28 games, receiving starts in nine of them ... those first two starts came sporadically, at Virginia (Dec. 23) and at Marist (Jan. 30), before becoming a full-time starter for the season's final seven games ... did not score in double figures until the beginning of February, but reached that barrier six times over the last nine games of the campaign ... played 20 or more minutes in each of the final 13 contests ... tallied double figures for the first time of the season with 13 points in a home game with Siena (Feb. 2) ... made eight of 10 from the field for 18 points against Iona (Feb. 8) ... scored 12 points with seven rebounds, three assists and four steals in a home win over Saint Peter's (Feb. 11) ... made seven of 11 shots from the floor for his 14 points at Siena (Feb. 14) ... scored seven points, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out four assists at Rider (Feb. 24) ... ended the campaign with 11 points on five-of-seven shooting against Canisius (Mar. 3) while playing 33 minutes in the MAAC Championship.
Started 27 of 28 games as a freshman ... tallied nine points at Virginia Tech (Nov. 19) in that first game and followed that with 13 points against Navy (Nov. 21) in his next outing, his first appearance in Reitz Arena ... that started a string of nine double-figure outings in his first 15 games ... opened MAAC play by scoring 18 points in 34 minutes at Saint Peter's (Dec. 2) in his lone appearance off the bench ... followed that with 14 points in the next outing, a win over Niagara (Dec. 5) which was the first for new head coach Jimmy Patsos ... made nine of his 16 field-goal attempts at Virginia Military (Jan. 5) for a career-best 21 points ... that effort began a stretch where he averaged 14.4 points in his next five games, scoring 10-plus in four of them and nine in the fifth ... he shot 52.8 percent (28-53) during the run ... recorded six assists twice, both coming on trips to Buffalo - at Niagara (Jan. 30) and at Canisius (Feb. 20) ... also grabbed 10 rebounds in that game against the Golden Griffins.
Was a four-year letterwinner at Herndon HS, leading his team to a 24-3 overall record and regional title as a senior ... selected to the all-district team as both a junior and a senior ... played his way on to the Virginia state all-tournament team during both seasons as well.
