JOSKO ALUJEVIC will be participating in his fifth season in the Greyhounds' program, having received a medical redshirt after missing the entire 2003-04 season with a stress fracture in his right hand ... will be asked to provide an on-court presence as a leader through his knowledge of Coach Patsos' offensive and defensive systems ... knows all five positions on the floor, but will primarily see time at the forward positions and at center ... a hard-worker who strives to set the example at every practice.

2005-06 Appeared in all 28 games, starting 11 of them, including the MAAC Tournament ... was a starter and prominent player during the season's first six games when the Greyhounds posted a 5-1 record ... asked to fill a reserve role with the eligibility of center Hassan Fofana in December and eventually worked his way back into the starting lineup at the end of the season ... had a career night during a 90-85 overtime Greyhounds win at Fairfield (Dec. 9), scoring 21 points without a miss from the floor (7-7 including 3-3 from 3-point range) with nine rebounds in 35 minutes ... points established a career high while rebounds tied a career best ... minutes played equaled a season high ... opened the season with back-to-back double-figure scoring games in a pair of Loyola wins, tallying 13 points at Towson (Nov. 19) and 11 points in the home opener against Maryland-Baltimore County (Nov. 27) ... also added nine rebounds to set a career rebounding mark against the Retrievers ... opened the season shooting 64.7 percent (22-34) during five Greyhounds wins while averaging 12.0 points ... threw in 13 points in a road win at Rider (Feb. 24) for his only other game in double figures ... a career 52 percent free-throw shooter, he made 70.8 percent on the season. 2004-05 Played in 25 games, starting three ... twice scored 12 points, the last two being the winning points in a home win against Virginia Military (Jan. 5) ... the other instance was at Manhattan (Feb. 16) ... pulled down eight rebounds against Saint Peter's (Jan. 27) ... made 75.0 percent of his shots (12-16) over a four-game stretch in early January, averaging 7.0 points and 4.5 rebounds as the Greyhounds went 2-2 ... played a career-high 36 minutes at Canisius (Feb. 20), scoring eight points while grabbing four rebounds and handing out three assists.

2002-03 Saw action in 16 games as a freshman ... scored a season-high 10 points and pulled down a season-high four rebounds at Iona (Jan. 14) in just four minutes played ... made all four shots from the field in that game, including his first career three-pointer ... entered the game with just one basket in six previous appearances ... played a season-high nine minutes in a home game against Canisius (Jan. 26), scoring five points ... made his only shot and grabbed a rebound in his first MAAC Tournament appearance in season-ending loss to Iona (Mar. 7). Before Loyola Attended Vladimir Nazor School in hometown of Split, Croatia ... a team captain in basketball ... also played for Croatian national and regional teams ... named Most Valuable Player of regional all-star game.

Personal The son of Andria and Ivana Alujevic, Josko Alujevic was born November 22, 1983 in Split, Croatia ... first name is pronounced "YUSH-ko" ... last name is pronounced "AH-loo-YEH-vich" ... from the same hometown as NBA star Toni Kukoc ... graduated with a degree in international business in May 2006 and is working on his MBA at Loyola.
