Vendlinski played both tennis and basketball at Loyola, and she was an outstanding performer in both sports. The tennis team's No. 1 singles player all four seasons, she finished with a career singles mark of 64-16 in addition to a career doubles mark of 50-7. Vendlinski was the Most Valuable Player of the 1991 MAAC tennis championship, the 1991 No. 1 singles MAAC champion, the 1990 and 1991 No. 1 doubles MAAC titleist and a 1988 Northeast Conference No. 1 singles finalist. She also holds team records for No. 1 singles and doubles wins in a season and a career, and was a two-time ECAC Medal of Merit award winner. On the basketball court, Vendlinski was a three-year starter at guard whose 865 career points now rank 15th on the school's all-time list. She averaged 9.4 points and 4.3 rebounds her senior season. A native of Kennett Square, Pa., she was also a member of the MAAC All-Academic team in both 1990 and 1991 and played on tennis teams that had a four-year record of 51-6.
