Sid Roche made his mark on the basketball court and baseball field during the 1940's. A three year letter winner in both sports, he was the basketball teams top scorer as a freshman and earned first team all Mason-Dixon conference honors. The team captain his senior year, he was the Greyhounds' second leading scorer behind the legendary Jim Lacy. Roche was also a standout pitcher for the baseball Greyhounds. He compiled a career record of 15-7 and batted .364 during the 1947 season.
