Mike, also known as "The Ketstone Komet", led his team to a Mason-Dixon Championship in 1948-49. His team finished in third place during the 1949 National Catholic Invitational Tournament. He finished with a career total of 1,138 points. Mike was selected by the Baltimore Bullets as their third pick of the 1950 NBA draft. He played in the Eastern Basketball Association for three years before going to Korea in the armed services. Mike also played baseball for the Boston Red Sox, Class A Club at Scranton. He received Coach of the Year Honors for central New Jersey in baseball (1971) and basketball (1965) at Somerville High School. He earned his Master's degree in guidance in 1965 at Lehigh University. He coached baseball and basketball for twenty years.
