A basketball standout from 1972-1976, he scored 1,103 points and pulled down over 900 rebounds during a fine career that included two selections to the all Mason-Dixon conference team. At the time of his induction he ranked 20th on the all-time Loyola scoring list and was the third leading rebounder in school history. As a freshman, he was a starting forward for the 1972- 1973 team that became the only Loyola hoop squad ever to participate in the NCAA tournament. A four year letter winner, he started all but one game during his entire collegiate career. The Greyhounds' team captain in 1975 and 1976 he remained active in the Loyola athletic program since his graduation. He served as the college's Sports Information Director, Head Tennis Coach and assistant basketball coach during the late 1970's.
