2012 Schedule
BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland men’s and women’s cross country teams finalized their 2012 fall schedules, head coach Rick Woods and the athletic department announced Friday.
The Greyhounds will take part in four regular-season meets before heading to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla., on Saturday, October 27.
Last season, the women’s side placed third at the conference championships with the men taking eighth.
Loyola opens its season for the second-straight year at the Seagull Open on Saturday, September 1. Last year, three Greyhound women earned medals, including sophomore Jessica Peters and junior Jackie D’Antonio.
The Greyhounds will then take part in the Navy Invitational on September 15, and the historic Paul Short Invitational on September 28. The squad wraps-up its regular-season at the Tribe Open on October 13.
After making the trip to Florida, the Greyhound women look to continue to build on their success at last year’s NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, where Loyola finished in the top-10 for the first time in program history.
