Harrison 21st At Paul Short Run, Leading Cross Teams

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Loyola University Maryland men's cross country team finished 37th, and the women were 45th at the Paul Short Run on Saturday in the Lehigh Valley.
Kiera Harrison ran a solid race for the Loyola women, placing 21st out of 406 entrants in the women's college gold race. Her time of 20:58 was tops among runners from Patriot League schools.
Her time was the second-fastest in Loyola women's cross country history over a 6k course, just seven seconds off her school record set earlier this year.
Chris Regan was the men's top finisher, covering the 8k course in the men's college brown race in 27:11 to finish 115th out of 372 competitors.
Patrick Makles was eight seconds back of Regan to finish 126th, and Samuel Ballard crossed the line in 193rd with a time of 27:57. Nick Barletta was 245th (28:43), Michael Michon, 246th (28:43), Brad Beard, 260th (28:57) and Zachery Nerenberg, 270th (29:10) rounded out Loyola's men at the meet.
Kelly Maguire was the women's No. 2 finisher, taking 248th in 23:07. Anna Bosse, 273rd (23:19), Erica Canas, 293rd (23:41), Sara Gilson, 316th (24:37), Laura Watters, 318th (24:45) and Caitlyn McGuinness, 323rd (25:22) were the other Greyhound women finishers.
