Bi-Lo Myrtle Beach Marathon Results

The Loyola men's cross country team had much success in off-season performance at the Rider/Lafayette Invitational on Friday at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York. Senior Chris Heibell won the mile run in 4:13.97. He now has qualified for two events in the upcoming IC4A Championships, to take place in March.

Heibell also finished in eight place in the 1000 meter run, clocking in at 2:31.69.

Junior Dan McDevitt competed in the mile run and finished in the eighth spot, running a 4:22.90. He also ran in the 800 meter event with a 2:01.06 time.

Competing in slightly warmer weather in South Carolina, senior Keith Forlenza ran his marathon debut in the 2009 Bi-Lo Myrtle Beach Marathon on Saturday. He finished second overall with a respectable time of 2:39:02 in the 26.2 mile road race.
