Women's Tennis Falls To Boston University In Patriot League Quarterfinals

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Second-seeded Boston University won the doubles point and then took three-straight singles matches to defeat the seventh-seeded Loyola University Maryland women's tennis team, 4-0, in the Patriot League quarterfinals Friday night at Lehigh's Lewis Tennis Center. 

The Terriers went up 1-0 in the match after Remi Ramos and Barbara Rodriguez beat Amanda Lanciano and Ania Krawiec, 6-0, at No. 1 doubles. Madison Craft and Sophia Kryloff then beat Nicole Eberle and Julie Clark, 6-3, in the No. 3 match to get Boston University the doubles point. 

Ramos opened up singles action with a 6-1, 6-0, victory over Erbele at No. 2 singles, while Rodriguez beat Alexandria Agee, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 3 singles. Sabrina Faybyshev then downed Lin Robertson, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 4 singles to clinch the match for the Terriers. 

Lanciano, Krawiec and Clark at No. 1, No. 5, and No. 6, respectively, were into their second set when the match was called.
