Hahn Named MAAC Women's Tennis Player Of The Week

EDISON, N.J. - Loyola University Maryland freshman Megan Hahn was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday after going undefeated last week in competition.

Hahn did not lose a set in No. 1 singles action, shutting out her first opponent of the week, Hampton's Melanie Scott, 6-0, 6-0. She then topped Colgate's Kelsey Shea, 6-1, 7-5, on Saturday afternoon.

In doubles action, Hahn teamed with Olivia Ott for a pair of wins. The duo beat Hampton's Tabita Daolio and Daneya Charles, 8-1 in No. 2 doubles, and they then dispatched of Colgate's Alex Petrini and Lexi Lazares, 8-4, in No. 1 doubles on Saturday.

The award is the first of Hahn's career and the first this season for a Loyola women's tennis student-athlete.
