BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland men's tennis opened its 2012-2013 dual match schedule with a straight-sets win on Sunday, topping Catholic University of America, 7-0.

Connor Pietrak defeated Brian Bradley, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 1 singles, and Bobby Gorczakowski was a 6-2, 6-0, winner over Kyle Kramer in the No. 2 slot.

Harrison Kunkel topped Jason Quisberth, 6-2, 6-2, and Jordan Kuchta beat Schuyler Hayward, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4. Greg Olesnycky shut out Joe Peters, 6-0, 6-0, and Alex Castro was a 6-1, 6-1, victor against Marc Rodrigues.

Pietrak and Gorczakowski defeated Bradley and Quisberth, 8-3, in No. 1 doubles, and Olesnycky and Kuchta beat Peters and Kramer, 8-1, in No. 2 doubles. Kunkel and Keishi Goto completed the sweep with an 8-3 win over Hayward and Joe Trinity.
