Singles Sweep Leads Men's Tennis Over Coppin State

BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland won all six singles matches and lost just one doubles tilt on Monday afternoon, and the Greyhounds beat visiting Coppin State, 7-0, in non-conference action.
The Eagles won the No. 1 doubles match, 8-4, as Oleksiy Krylchuk and Daniel Nino edged the Greyhounds’ Harrison Kunkel, but Loyola won the doubles point with wins in the No. 2 and 3 matches.
Pietrak led off the singles play at the No. 1 spot, holding off Krylchuk in a tiebreaker, 6-1, 7-6 (4). Kunkel then used a super-tiebreaker to edge Nino, 6-1, 5-7 (8), at No. 2.
The remaining four singles players – Lisco (No. 3), Olesnycky (No. 4), Kuchta (No. 5) and Castro (No. 6) – all won in straight sets for the Greyhounds.
