Loyola University Maryland women's tennis hosted the 2015 Loyola Invitational Sept. 25-27.


McClure Tennis Center Dedication

Loyola dedicated the McClure Tennis Center on April 11, 2015.

2016-2017 (Junior): Studied abroad in Greece during the fall semester… Competed at No. 5 singles and won eight dual matches during the spring, two against Patriot League opponents… Teamed with classmate Nicole Eberle in doubles to win six matches, two in the conference.

2015-2016 (Sophomore): Led the Greyhounds with the most singles wins (21) playing mostly at number 4+5 and had the 2nd most doubles wins (21) with Megan Hahn and classmate Nicole Eberle as her partners… Was 5-3 vs. Patriot League opponents… Won 8 straight singles dual matches and 11 out of 12 during our spring season… teamed with Eberle to reach the “B” Flight doubles semi-finals at the St. Joseph’s Invitational in the fall and won 3 consecutive singles matches at the first Loyola Invitational. Will be studying abroad in Greece during the 2016 fall semester.

2014-2015 (Freshman): Successful first campaign with nine singles wins, going 3-4 in the League, and eight doubles wins... Five of the doubles wins came with classmate Nicole Eberle... In her first collegiate tournament in the fall, Clark reached the "A" Flight Singles Consolation Final at the Bucknell Invitational with quality wins over players from Bucknell and Colgate... Also advanced to the "B" Flight Singles quarterfinals at the Navy Invitational, and Clark and Eberle won the Mount St. Mary's "B" Flight Consolation Doubles final with an 8-7 win over a team from Howard.

Before Loyola: Played tennis as a sophomore and senior in high school, as a sophomore at E.C. Glass High School and senior at Virginia Episcopal School… Was each of the team’s No. 1 singles player and team captain… Helped E.C. Glass win the state title as a sophomore… Earned All-State and Player of the Year honors each year.

Personal: Julie Schewel Clark… Born in Arizona… Daughter of Donna and Gary Clark… Was a volunteer tennis coach and helped with Meals on Wheels.
