Sophomore Jacob Drannan Earns MAAC Swimmer Of The Week Honors

Edison, N.J - Loyola's Jacob Drannan was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week today after a tremendous performance in the H2Ounds Invitational last weekend.

Drannan helped the Greyhound men defeat conference rival Marist for the second time in school history. The team also defeated Villanova, but fell to Delaware by just four points.

Drannan started the dual meet with first place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle and the 200-yard individual medley. He also earned a second-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:53.93 in the final session on Saturday.

The Greyhounds have a month-long break before hosting Rider on Saturday, January 17 at 12:00 p.m.
