Coan Adds Silver To World Para Championships Medal Count

MEXICO CITY - Loyola University Maryland senior McKenzie Coan added a silver medal to her two golds at the 2017 World Para Championships on Tuesday night when she finished second in the S7 50-meter butterfly.

Naomi Somellera Mandujano won gold in front of her home nation’s fans. The Mexican swimmer finished in 37.76 seconds, just two-tenths of a second in front of Coan.

The Loyola swimmer will finish her program at the Championships on Wednesday night when she swims in the 400-meter freestyle.
