Loyola's women's swimming and diving team leads Marist 49-25 and Niagara 40-34 while the Greyhound men lead Niagara 64-23 after Session I of the H2ounds Invitational, which took place Friday evening at Loyola's Fitness and Aquatic Center.
Marist leads the overall competition on the men's side as it holds a 60-33 advantage over Colgate, a 59-33 edge over Loyola, and a 78-14 cushion on Niagara. Loyola's men currently trail Colgate by a score of 49-43.
Colgate is on top of the women's competition with leads over Loyola, 44.5-28.5, Marist, 50-23, and Niagara, 45-28.
The Greyhounds swept the meet's 400 IM races as Nori Skoda won on the women's side with a time of 4:43.43 and Marko Turcinov won on the men's side with a time of 4:06.16.
The H2ounds Invitational continues tomorrow when Session II kicks off at 10 a.m. The meet's third and final session is scheduled to begin tomorrow at 3 p.m.
