Boston, Mass. - The Loyola College men's and women's swimming and diving teams are in seventh and ninth place after 28 events at the ECAC Championships. The women hold seventh after two days while the men are ninth with one day of competition remaining in Boston, Mass.

Senior Ryan Reeser was the Greyhounds top performer of day with his runner-up finish in the 200-yard freestyle final. Reeser swam a 1:42.83 in the event, less than one second back of Harvard's Mike Bowen. Freshman Brad Reeser was a consolation finalist in 1:44.20.

Other consolation finalists for the men included Ernest Verrico, who picked up valuable points with a ninth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.06), and Doug Alban, who took 16th in the 100-yard backstroke.

On the women's side, freshman Melissa White took seventh in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.41 in the championship final. Senior Laura Hanlon finished 11th in the 200-yard IM, while three Greyhounds were consolation finalists in the 200-yard freestyle.

Those point scorers included senior Megen Hadley, who placed 13th, Victoria Kamauff, who finished 14th and sophomore Emily Benton, who finished 15th.

The final 13 events of the ECAC Championships will take place on Sunday afternoon.
