The Loyola University Maryland women's swimming and diving team won six events en route to a 137-115 victory at Mount St. Mary's Saturday afternoon.
Lizzie McKenna led the way by finishing first in the 200 short course meter backstroke in 2:27.57. She also teamed with Courtney Chenet, Kait Richter and Megan Brady to win the 200 SC medley relay in 2:06.35.
In the 800 free, Allie Krasnov led three Greyhounds in the top-three finishers, touching in 9:44.76. Erika Winkler was second at 9:46.04 and Erin Thomson was third in 10:02.51.
The Greyhounds also claimed the top-three spots in the 100 back and the 200 breast, while Taylor Moore (2:38.82) and Allison Di Tomasso (2:40.28) helped Mckenna sweep the top-three places in the 200 back.
Melissa Martinez won the 100 back in 1:10.32, followed by Courtney Chenet (1:11.47) and Kelly Gajdzisz (1:15.13). In the 200 breast, Noelle Staib was first in 2:51.17, while Erin Thomson was second at 2:55.01 and Lisa Fralinger was third in 3:00.33.
Stephanie Baliko rounded out the Greyhounds that won events, touching first in the 100 breast in 1:21.60. Brianna Keelan was second in the event, finishing with a time of 1:23.41.
Other top finishers included
Megan Brady in the 200 free, touching second in 2:18.82, and Samantha Berizzi finishing third in 2:20.12.
Kait Richter was second in the 200 fly with a time of 2:25.41 and
Noelle Staib was third in 2:33.24.
Brianna Keelan was second in the 50 free (28.31), and
Erin Calderoni touched third (28.48).
In the 100 free, Erin Shea was second in 1:02.23, while Cara Egan was second in the 400 free with a time of 4:45.39 and Kait Richter was third in 4:56.95.
Abby Wiese was second in the 100 fly, finishing in 1:09.67.
The Greyhounds will return to action when they head to Buffalo, N.Y., for the 2013 MAAC Championships. Events will run from Thursday, Feb. 14 through Saturday, Feb. 16.
