Rider Upends Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving

Baltimore, Md. - Loyola's men's and women's swimming and diving teams fell to Rider by scores of 149-82 and 136-107, respectively, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) showdown on Saturday afternoon at the Greyhounds' Fitness and Aquatic Center.
The Greyhounds turned out a few nice individual performances, however. Megen Hadley set a new school record in the 1000 Free with a time of 10:49.22 while Marko Turcinov and diver Megan Sterback each won two events.
Turcinov took the 200 IM in a time of 1:56.06, defeating the next closest competitor by more than two seconds. The star senior won the 200 Fly by a large margin as well in clocking a time of 1:53.48 to oust the rest of the competiton by 1.46 seconds.
Sterback grabbed the one-meter diving event with a score of 189.75 and the three-meter competition after recording a score of 211.95.
The other winners on the day for Loyola were Ryan Reeser (48.01) in the 100 Free, Chelsea Brace (2:12.87) in the 200 Back, and the men's 400-yard Free Relay team of Reeser, Tim Hoover, Drew Crampton, and Turcinov who swam a time of 3:11.93.
