Following his record-setting career with the Greyhounds, Marko Turcinov is in his third season as a volunteer assistant coach with the men's and women's swimming and diving team.
A two-time MAAC Male Swimmer of the Year, Turcinov ended his college career in 2005 after breaking three MAAC records and a myriad of school records. He holds conference records in the 100-fly, 200-fly and 200-IM events. As a captain during his senior season, he helped the Greyhounds finish third at the conference meet.
Turcinov was named the team's MVP three times during his career and was the recipient of the John R. Mohler Award in2005,whichrecognizesLoyola'stopmalestudent-athlete.
A native of Chardon, Ohio, Turcinov swam for the Wildcat Aquatic Club and Coach Frank Zatko. He also attended St. Ignatius High School prior to his Loyola career.
Turcinov earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Economics and will complete his MBA with a finance concentration in 2006. He is currently employed with The Prosperity Consulting Group, LLC (a wealth management company) located in Owings Mills, Md.
