EDISON, N.J. - After winning the petite final at the Knecht Cup on Sunday, the Loyola University Maryland women's crew varsity four was named MAAC Boat of the Week for the third time this season, as announced by the conference office Tuesday.

The boat took first place by beating out Duke by .5 seconds with a time of 7:48.83. The Greyhounds also edged out teams from North Carolina, Delaware, Boston College and New Hampshire.

Loyola had qualified for the petite final after winning its first round heat on Saturday, and then finishing in third in the semifinal heat behind Kansas and Penn State. The boat featured coxswain Katherine Griffin along with Catriona Miller, Margaret Ajello, Andrea Almeida and Julianne Roccuzzo.

The Greyhounds are next in action on Saturday, April 21, at the Kerr Cup on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Pa.
