EDISON, N.J. - The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's varsity four boats earned the first-ever Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Boat of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Thewomen's varsity four boat that featured coxswain Katherine Griffin, Andrea Almeida, Margaret Ajello, Catriona Miller and Julianne Roccuzzo, took first place in their race at the Jesuit Invitational on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J., on Saturday. The boat finished the 2,000 meter course in 8:33.0, beating teams from Saint Joseph's, Boston College and Fairfield by more than 16 seconds.

The men's varsity four boat that featured coxswain Thomas Quinn, Christopher Golon, Ryan Walsh, Joe Wawrynski and Thomas Kelly, took first place in their race at the Jesuit Invitational on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J., on Saturday. The boat finished the 2,000 meter course in 7:36.0, to finish ahead of Fairfield by just over five seconds.

The Greyhounds are back in action on Saturday, March 24, at the Murphy Cup in Philadelphia, Pa.
