Nine Loyola University Maryland crew athletes attended the Baltimore Burn on Saturday, Feb. 4th.

The Baltimore Burn is a local indoor rowing race done on rowing machines called ergs. The Burn is sponsored by Baltimore Rowing Club and UMBC. Three freshman rowers had great success, winning their separate events. It was the first indoor competition for all of the Loyola athletes.

Kathleen McCarthy won the collegiate women’s division, Filip Zigic won the collegiate men’s division, and Michael Blume won the lightweight men’s division.
