Crew Competes At Frostbite Regatta

CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. -

The Loyola University Maryland men’s and women’s crew teams competed in the Frostbite Regatta on Saturday on the Cooper River in Camden County, N.J.

Several Greyhounds competed in multiple events; including team captain Catriona Miller, senior Julie Roccuzzo, and freshmen Andrea Almeida and Clara Coleman.

The women's novice four took third while the men's novice eight placed fifth with a time of 8:37.17.

The men's double combination of Thomas Kelly and Ryan Walsh grabbed a third-place finish with a time of 8:25.97, while Chris Golon and Cameron Kopp placed 4th with a time of 8:37.06 in the same race.

Also competing in the same race, the women's double of Miller and Roccuzzo placed fourth (8:41.54) and Amanda Adsit and Andrea Almeida took fifth (9:41.01).

The women's varsity four of Roccuzzo, Almeida, Miller and Clara Coleman placed 4th in 8:50.11

The freshmen rowers will also be in action on Sunday for the Bill Braxton Regatta, also on the Cooper River. This weekend’s races are the conclusion of the fall season for Loyola.
