Volleyball Signs Nina Camaioni

Baltimore, Md. - Head volleyball coach Kristina Hernandez announced Monday that Nina Camaioni has committed to play for the Greyhounds in 2007. Camaioni, a 5-10 outside hitter, comes to Loyola from Williamstown High School in Williamstown, N.J.

Camaioni has numerous accolades including the New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year and was named to the Prep-Volleyball National All-Star list in 2006. She was also the New Jersey Player of the Year, earned Prep-Volleyball Tough Cookie Award and named to the Prep-Volleyball Top 79 sophomores list in 2005. Camaioni has earned first-team all state from 2004-06. She earned National Honor Society status the last four years at Williamstown. Camaioni played for the Synergy Volleyball Club in Philadelphia, Pa. and in 2005, her team won a regional bid to play at nationals. Synergy won the fourth place bracket that year.

The Greyhounds finished this season with a 10-26 overall record and a 7-11 mark in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference under third-year head coach Hernandez.
