Baltimore, Md. - Four members of the Loyola College volleyball team were honored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference office Sunday. Freshman Chrissey Cruz was named to the conference all-tournament team while Maddie Fuller, Samantha Greenbaum and Rachel Schillinger were named to the all-academic squad.
Cruz earned the all-tournament honor after recording 160 assists for an average of 11.43 a game over the span of the conference championship. Cruz also added 18 kills, 35 digs and three blocks.
Fuller, Greenbaum and Schillinger were among 50 MAAC volleyball players named the conference all-academic team. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
The Greyhounds finished the 2006 season with 10-26 overall record and a 7-11 record in the MAAC.
