Coming Up This Week   
  • The Loyola University Maryland volleyball team plays its final two home games of the 2014 season this weekend when it hosts the U.S. Military Academy on Friday, November 7, at 7 p.m. The Greyhounds then play College of the Holy Cross at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in Reitz Arena.
  • Saturday's match will feature a Senior Day celebration prior to the match honoring Lauren Andresen and Mindy Maloney.

Senior Farewell
  • The Greyhounds' two seniors – Lauren Andersen and Mindy Maloney – will be introduced and honored prior to the game on Saturday. The duo have been four-year starters for Loyola since arriving on campus as freshmen in 2011.
  • Andersen, who suffered a season-ending injury earlier this year, wrapped up her career with 3,123 assists, an average of 8.9 in the 351 sets she played during her career. She also had 747 digs, 2.13 per set, 160 kills and 69 total blocks during her tenure on the court at Loyola.
  • Maloney led the Patriot League in hitting percentage last season and enters this weekend's action with 653 career in 110 matches. Of those 110 matches during her career, Maloney has started all but one, and she has a career hitting percentage of .259. She also enters the weekend with 285 total blocks in her career.

  • Loyola's starting outside hitters, reshman Molly Cichosz and sophomore Jane Lukas, are first and second, respectively, in the Patriot League in kills per set. Cichosz has an average of 3.32 per set, while Lukas checks in right behind at 3.14.
  • In Patriot League matches, Lukas leads all conference players with 3.63 kills per set, while Cichosz is sixth with 2.87.
